The Journey
Impegnarsi was first founded on November 18th 2022 under the name of "902 Clothing". Founded by Nafez Shaath who was 14 years old at the time. "902 Clothing's" purpose was to build a connection within the local community of Halifax and promote cooperation between the people.
From heat pressing the pieces by hand in the living room to turning heads in the local community, more and more people we're discovering "902 Clothing". So then came a thought, "If I can do this locally, why not internationally". The motivation from the community really pushed Nafez to come up with something new to expand this vision to the rest of the world. So then Impegnarsi was founded!
On December 21st 2022, "902 Clothing" was renamed to Impegnarsi. Same message, bigger vision. The name Impegnarsi is from the Italian language meaning "Strive" which hence the brand message "Strive To Be The Best Version Of Yourself". With Nafez getting more into streetwear he chose this name to pay homage and respect to the Italian fashion scene while introducing Italian inspired streetwear, and right away we started with a bang.
"Never Give Up" or "NGU" was the first official collection by Impegnarsi. Three pieces, a hoodie and two tee's.
"NGU" was released on the 5th of April 2023 and immediently sparked inrest in the city of Halifax. With the full collection selling out in less than a week Impegnarsi was everywhere, and the message was being spread like wildfire. Everyone in the city wanted a piece of what Impegnarsi was serving but there was too much demand and we sold out.
After the success of the "NGU" drop, Impegnarsi moved its operations to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. This is where Impegnarsi would face a real challenge of spreading the brand vision and message internationally in the gulf region.
Since Impegnarsi moved its operations to the UAE has been thriving with hundreds of orders, selling out drop after drop, being featured in Vintage Vibe's store in Dubai, and providing the UAE with a unique, quality streetwear brand.
